The anticipation for Selena Gomez’s new show 13 Reasons Why is real.
13 Reasons Why is based off the popular teen book, written by Jay Asher, based around a high school student’s suicide. As some one who has read, and could not put down the novel years ago I would say it is the perfect mix of drama, mystery and reality.
At last night’s premiere Miss Gomez spoke with CNN about her role as Executive Producer: “I was very loyal to the project for 7 years, I got a little controlling.”
Understandable! With a project with this much passion to it, the pressure is seriously on.
Side note Selena was also SLAYING in an orange bubble dress, I mean who can pull of orange!?!?! Girl’s an icon.
Although Selena is behind the camera she did give us some of that Selena Gomez star power through her incredible cover of Yaz’s 1982 electropop hit “Only You.”
Fair warning listening to this song definitely gave me chills, and maybe even some small tears.
